I have a confession- I love the Who. One of my three favorite bands. (Mumford and Sons is the second, Beatles is third) And Pearl Jam's cover of this Who song made me FALL IN LOVE with Eddie Vedder.

I love Coldplay. I also love the elderly.  When will these things ever converge, you may ask? Well don't you wonder that any longer! Here you go. The first video here is Coldplay "Fix You" and then a lovely cover by the Young@Heart Chorus of "Fix You". Although its the same lyrics, I feel that they say very different things when Chris Martin sings it as opposed to Fred Knittle. Anyway, listen, enjoy and tell me what you think!

songs for the restless.

I've been incredibly restless recently. And I have no idea of why. I'm trying to get to the bottom of it, but until then, I need a playlist. So what do you put on a playlist for when you're restless. I feel like anything too upbeat would be a slap in the face, so I'm going to go for some slower, thoughtful songs instead of crazy ones. Here is what I've come up with, let me know if you have any suggestions. I could certainly use them.

Happy Valentines Day! (yuck)

I do not enjoy being bitter and cynical, it just happens sometimes. Ok, I'm not really bitter or cynical I suppose, but the truth is that I have never been a huge fan of Valentines day- even when I was not single. And now that I am single, Valentines day seems to be the most taunting of all the holidays. So as a tribute to Valentines day, I have decided to make a top 10 list of anti-Valentines songs! Enjoy!

Blog name change.

Ah, being awake at 4 am is such fun. Especially when I have to be at my internship in less than four hours. Anyway, changed the name of the blog- mainly because the other name was so long. Going to try and catch a few more zzz's before 8 o'clock. Good night all...or good morning...how about just Happy Monday!

Ever had a song, a TV show, a movie, or any other type of media that defines an era of your life? I think it can be really interesting what songs/albums and other things that anytime you see them, you immediately go back to that time? The Waltons and the Catch and Release soundtrack defined my life this past July and August. It was when I was going through the worst of my crazy emotions, including being depressed and anxious. They both seemed so perfect for different reasons. The Waltons gave me something to focus on and distract me from the madness. It is nice to have problems that are solved in an hour. Although I'm still processing, my problems took slightly longer to deal with than an hour. I don't blame the Waltons for that though. And then there is the Catch and Release soundtrack. Every track did not relate to me, but the emotions behind a good majority of the songs I could absolutely relate to.
